In this team environment, the reporter will be expected to write non-health stories from time to time and occasionally take photos and videos. The work load includes daily stories, in-depth pieces and long-term projects, both solo and as part of a team. The Times' coverage area is a mix of urban and rural. It encompasses factories, strip malls and subdivisions, and farms from Chicago's East Side to LaPorte County and from the Lake Michigan shore to DeMotte.
