By combining traditional therapy techniques with animal-assisted interventions, we strive to create a safe and nurturing environment for our clients to explore their mental health challenges.
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual sessions, integrating animal-assisted counseling to promote emotional healing and well-being.
Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Assess clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Provide education and support to clients' families, promoting their involvement in the therapeutic process.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment outcomes.
Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in animal-assisted therapy and mental health counseling.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
Valid licensure or certification as a mental health therapist (e.
g.
, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
Experience working in a clinical setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients and build therapeutic relationships.
