Position Description and Responsibilities
Reviews, analyzes, develops, and modifies computer applications.
Analyzes and resolves problems associated with applications.
Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation and knowledge transfer.
Typically reports to a Project Manager or Project Lead.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
2-3 years' experience in SQL (stored procedures, triggers etc.); adept at query optimization and good understanding of database/table design
1 - 3 years' experience with .NET framework, associated languages (C#, VB, HTML, CSS, jQuery, javascript, JSON, XML, etc.) and design approaches (MVC, Webforms etc.)
Experience and/or understanding of Big Data technologies desirable but not essential (Hadoop, Pig, Hive etc.)
Familiarity with ETL tools (SSIS or other) and Reporting Services an advantage
Ability to design programs from User Requirements including design specs
Good UI Skills
Capable in Unit Testing & debugging with good documentation skills
Support & Maintenance of existing applications
Use of formal development tools and techniques
Contact with designers to clarify specifications
Design and develop moderately complex data conversions and interfaces.
Proficient with GUI design standards
Proficient with Microsoft Office, flowcharting tools for development of Software Lifecycle.
