Receiving direction from the Director of Materials Management, while collaboratively working with Physicians, Allied Health professionals, Administrators, Finance Department staff, Regional Materials Management staff, vendors, and other individuals internal and external to Community Healthcare System (CHS), will have responsibility for achieving supply expense management initiatives and targets utilizing the value analysis process. As such, the position will direct the value analysis process to provide high quality, efficient, and cost-effective products and services. This process will require the establishment and adherence to a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring product/service selection, utilization, and costs. The incumbent will provide clinical and strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving all processes that support patient care, education, and research. Position located in Munster, Indiana.?

To qualify, you must have:


  • Minimum Associates Degree in related field. ?

  • 5-7 years experience in healthcare materials management or supply chain management activities.

  • Proven management skills, including program planning and development, project management, and performance and quality management. Experience in cost containment and expense management activities.

  • Demonstrated analytical experience with knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to drive consensus.

  • MS Office Proficient? Microsoft Office is required with Access knowledge.

  • Peoplesoft experience preferred.

  • Strong communication skills which will encompass both oral and written, including the ability to give presentations to physicians, clinicians, and administrators.

  • Understands the inner-workings of supply chain activities.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
